While many call center outsourcing companies in Asia and the Middle East have seen booming growth in past decades (and their call center outsourcing industries beginning to mature), other Asian and Middle Eastern nations are seeing great growth opportunity in the area.

One of these locations is Kuwait, where Bahrain-based call center outsourcing company Silah Gulf recently opened a new call center facility. During the opening, Silah Gulf’s CEO, Joe Tawfiq, told the Kuwait Times that the possibilities in Kuwait for growth in the call center outsourcing sector are enormous.

“On a scale of one to 10, with 10 being the highest, Kuwait is only at level one; that means that we have tremendous possibilities for growth [in outsourcing]. We’re very excited about it – that’s why we’re here right now,” he said.

Tawfiq profiled his company during the presentation, and indicated that the call center outsourcing industry in Kuwait is very fresh and promising, particularly as compared to some other Asian locations such as India and the Philippines. Compared to those countries, he said, “Kuwait’s outsourcing market is very young and undeveloped. Our target is to make the outsourcing business here more exciting to help companies develop and present exemplary world-class services.

”Silah Gulf’s newly appointed General Manager Ben Fairbank formerly served in the company’s Manila, Philippines office, where he quadrupled the company’s business. “I am pleased to be joining Silah Kuwait. I can see a very bright future of outsourcing business here,” said Fairbank. “Silah hopes to become a pioneer in customer experience management and we will deliver it to our customers.”

Silah Gulf is a joint venture between Bahrain’s e-Government Authority and the U.K.-based call center outsourcing company Merchants. The company now has 60 full-time agents and managers in its new Kuwait call center location, which includes a large Kuwaiti telecom company as a client.

“We are offering Kuwaiti companies a paradigm shift in the way they can grow their business,” said Tawfiq to the Kuwait Times. “Silah can implement its proven best practices in managing customer experiences for greater profit. We believe that Kuwaiti companies have an opportunity to differentiate themselves through our unique expertise.”
