A St. Joseph call center is adding 300 jobs to accommodate growing business from two corporate clients.
NCO Group will expand operations at its Systems & Services Technologies facility to meet the needs of two Fortune 500 clients. SST is a subsidiary of NCO Group, a global outsourcing firm based in Horsham, Pa.
The SST facility, located at 4315 Pickett Road, primarily focuses on loan servicing for auto, credit card and other types of consumer debt.
“The growth in St. Joseph is a great opportunity for our clients and our associates,” Jay King, senior vice president of NCO Group, said in a statement. “The client expansion is a great testament to the quality of our employees and the reputation of our offerings. We are pleased to have the opportunity to partner with our clients, grow our solutions, and offer employees opportunities.”
SST held a job fair Monday at its Pickett Road site. The company is seeking to fill positions for call center representatives as well as jobs in telephone sales, technical support and accounts receivables management. The company said most positions are full time and offer a benefit package.
NCO Group provides outsourcing services at more than 100 offices in North America, Latin America, Asia, Europe and Australia.
SST came to St. Joseph in 1997 and saw its work force expand to 850 in 2002. The company did not provide details on its current employment count, although it was believed to have dropped below 575 based on information from a recent St. Joseph Metro Chamber publication.
The company didn’t provide any new details on its client business. In 2011, NCO Group disclosed that SST was chosen by SunTrust Bank of Atlanta to provide payment processing, collections, customer service and special recoveries services.
